Argent Energy is a European biodiesel producer dedicated to transforming waste materials into sustainable, second-generation fuel to advance decarbonisation. Our success is rooted in the expertise, innovation, and commitment of our people, who are at the core of our business.
Founded in the UK, Argent Energy has become a pioneer in transforming waste into renewable products. We are proud to treat to most difficult waste streams and (pre-)treat these to valuable use. This includes waste from grease traps in restaurants that normally accumulates as large fat bergs in the UK sewage systems. Today, we operate biodiesel plants in Stanlow, United Kingdom, and Amsterdam, Netherlands, producing approximately 200,000 tons of waste-based biodiesel annually with over 250 employees across all sites.
Biodiesel has played a key role in helping Europe achieve its climate reduction targets, particularly within the transportation sector. While road transport has made substantial strides in sustainability, the maritime and aviation sectors are also beginning to integrate biofuel solutions.
